Joey Medina is a Bronx-born Puerto Rican comedian, former professional boxer, and veteran headliner who’s performed across the U.S. and around the world. A State Champion in the ring before he ever hit the stage, Joey went on to star in his own SHOWTIME comedy special “Taking Off the Gloves”, host a morning radio show in Los Angeles, and appear in more than 50 television spots. He was featured in Paramount’s hit film “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy” alongside Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez, and Alex Reymundo, and has performed for U.S. troops in hotspots from Bosnia and Kosovo to Kuwait and Iraq.

Behind the camera, Joey has produced and directed projects like “Cholo Comedy Slam”, the cult film “El Matador”, and Sí TV’s “Circumsized Cinema”, as well as serving as a host and producer on “Loco Comedy Jam”. His film and TV credits include “Zombie Strippers” and “Cheech Marin and Friends: Live From South Beach”, among others. Latin Style Magazine calls him “one of the few comedians that can bridge together urban with mainstream comedy” — a sharp, high-energy style that makes Joey a crowd favorite wherever he performs.
